About this Artist--

Sérgio Veludo was Born in Oporto, Portugal and raised in Mozambique, Africa. Now He resides in Belém, Brazil near the Amazon rainforest. Sérgio studied painting but soon, during long trips around the world, discovered the photography. Most of his photos are from places, nature and details.

The work he displays here is a small part of years collecting photos of bark details of different trees all over the world. Why “bark details”? Because their different colors, shapes and structures.

Sérgio Veludo nasceu na cidade do Porto, em Portugal e cresceu em Moçambique, Africa. Atualmente reside em Belém do Pará, Brasil, junto à floresta amazônica. Sérgio estudou desenho e pintura mas, cedo, em viagens por todo o mundo, descobriu a fotografia. A maiora das suas fotografias são de lugares, natureza e detalhes.
O trabalho que ele aqui mostra é uma pequena parte de anos e anos reunindo fotos de detalhes de cascas de árvores de todo o mundo. Porquê "detalhes de cascas de árvores"? Pelas suas diferentes cores, formas e texturas. Divirtam-se !
